Production of Chapter 2 – From Director Nicholas Humphries

Hi Guys,

I’ve been meaning to swing by and say hello for some time now. As you can imagine, we’ve been working round the clock to get Chapter 2 up and running but I finally have a moment between shoot days. So… hello!

The first half of our shoot (the cozy interior stuff) went amazingly well. Working with Patrick, Sharon, Christine, Peter, Allison, Ben, Richard, Gina and the rest of our amazing cast was simply a dream come true. I’m a pretty big nerd so I was pretty nervous going in (these guys have worked on some of my favorite shows and have so much talent and experience behind them) but I think I managed not to geek out too bad. They’re all such fun to work with and really supported me as a noob-ish director.

Tomorrow we head outside to shoot some pretty ambitious scenes (thanks Ryan and Aly) but I’m pretty excited because I will be working with Alessandro, Emilie and Ry Ro for the very first time. I have met them all and they’re great people and super excited about this project. So we’re pretty much just going outside to play. With a camera. And lots of yummy food.

That said, it’s winter here in Canada and we are way off in the woods for some of this stuff so it’s guaranteed to be freezing. The forecast even calls for snow. So it’ll still be fun, just the incredibly cold kind.

Also a huge kudos to the work Ryan, Aly and Kaleena have done with these scripts. Directors dream to be handed this kind of stuff. It’s scary and beautiful. I think you’re all going to be really pleased with what’s coming down the pipe. I can’t wait for you to see.
